Kept the faith but not the rituals

What traditions have you not kept that your parents had?

Since I started living outside of my native Bolivia, I’ve gradually let go of several religious traditions that were closely associated with the local culture. For example, I no longer visit 14 churches on Holy Thursday or fast all morning and have a 12-dish lunch on Good Friday. Some of these changes stem from my spiritual journey, where I share the faith of my parents in our relationship with the Divine, but I don’t hold the same staunch Catholic emphasis on tradition, pomp and ceremony.
