How do you plan your goals?

In business school, I teach about the balance between long term aspirational goals and short to medium term achievable goals. The latter are meant to be challenging, reachable, and measurable, and there are very relevant for business success, however I found that in my personal life it’s the former that truly has shaped my journey.

I always aspired to strike a balance between economic security and leisure, to find harmony between family and work, and to explore the mysteries of our existence and our relationship with the divine. These aspirations guided me beyond the practical, inspiring me to create a life that was not just successful, but deeply fulfilling.

Create an emergency preparedness plan.

As I contemplate the inevitability of my journey towards the great divinity, I find solace in the knowledge that I will be reuniting with a higher existence. I approach this transition with gratitude for the life I have lived and the cherished moments I have shared with my loving family and dearest friends. My preparations for this passage involve fostering a sense of inner peace, resolving any lingering regrets, and ensuring that my wishes are known to guide my loved ones in the future. Through this process, I strive to leave behind a legacy of love, connection, and a profound appreciation for the mysteries that await beyond

What is a word you feel that too many people use?

God” is indeed a word widely used, but its significance can differ among people based on their diverse beliefs and cultures. The prevalence of this word might stem from humanity’s historical inclination to seek a higher purpose beyond the material world, acknowledging a Divine origin and purpose for existence.

What brings you peace?

Three things bring me peace:

1. To Love and Be Loved: The profound sense of peace that comes from loving and being loved is unparalleled. When we share genuine connections with others and experience the warmth of their affection, it fosters a sense of belonging and security. Love allows me to express my true self , vulnerabilities, and aspirations without fear of judgment. This mutual exchange of emotions creates a harmonious environment where understanding and empathy thrive, nurturing a deep inner tranquility.
2. To Transmit Knowledge and Experience to Students: The act of imparting knowledge and experience to eager minds not only contributes to the growth of others but also cultivates a profound sense of fulfillment within myself. By nurturing the intellectual and personal development of my students, play a vital role in shaping the future.
3. To Know There Is a Supreme Being: The belief in a higher power that holds the universe together and grants meaning to existence gives me a sense of solace and purpose. The anticipation of a divine presence revealing itself upon leaving this mortal body offers me a comforting perspective on the cycle of life and death. This belief alleviates the fear of the unknown, providing reassurance that there’s something greater beyond the physical realm. It infuses my life with a sense of spirituality and a connection to the transcendent, contributing to an overarching sense of peace.

In summary, the combination of love and connection, the act of sharing wisdom, and the belief in a higher purpose each contribute to the profound peace I experience.

What profession do you admire most and why?

I love my profession as an economics professor, as I get to explore and share the intricate web of economic relationships. Yet, my admiration for other professions, extends beyond, encompassing cosmic physics that unveils the universe’s mechanics and theology’s quest to unravel our purpose and connection with the Divine. Each realm offers unique insights into the grand tapestry of knowledge, enriching our understanding of our complex world.

If you were going to open up a shop, what would you sell?

I am pleased to use this opportunity to share with my readers a project that has been close to my heart – the launch of an online shop dedicated to providing spiritual advice and guidance. In a world that is increasingly interconnected yet sometimes spiritually disconnected, I believe that there is a need for a platform where individuals can seek insights into the role of the Divine in our daily lives.

At the core of this endeavor is the fusion of technology and spirituality. With the assistance of cutting-edge AI, our platform will be able to provide tailored answers to your specific questions about spirituality. These answers will be crafted not only from the wisdom of AI algorithms but also enriched with quotations from the sacred texts of major religions and philosophies.

What is the most important thing to carry with you all the time?

Every day, I carry the essentials with me: my wallet, housing my driver’s license, credit and insurance cards, and above all, a positive attitude showcased by a perpetual smile gracing my lips. The wallet represents survival, while the smile signifies gratitude – a heartfelt acknowledgment to the divine for bestowing upon me another day on this magnificent planet. I’m embraced by loving relatives and the joyous souls who, in return, mirror my smile, forming a circle of happiness.

What change, big or small, would you like your blog to make in the world?

In this stage of my life, my primary goal is to give back to the universe some of the blessings I’ve received. This blog holds significant importance as it allows me to share my knowledge and experiences with as many people as possible. I am particularly concerned about the growing neglect of the spiritual aspect of life among young individuals, often overshadowed by remarkable advancements in science and technology as well as the diminishing influence of formal religions. Through my blog, I aspire to contribute to the lives of these young people by sharing my own spiritual journey and experiences.

Describe your life in an alternate universe.

In an alternate universe, I would have remained a dedicated family man, working as a college professor while engaging in advanced research. The world I imagine would consist of diverse nations that value various cultures and beliefs. Each nation would operate under a democratic process overseen by AI, promoting fairness. The prevalent economic system, managed capitalism, would foster economic growth and minimize inequality. Scientific advancements would focus on addressing criminal behavior and social deviance as mental health issues, preventing harm to society.

What’s the most money you’ve ever spent on a meal? Was it worth it?

For our silver anniversary, we celebrated in Madrid with a delightful seafood dinner. The highlight was the exquisite bogavante, even surpassing any lobster I’ve ever tasted. Accompanied by fine wine, the bill of nearly 500€ was unquestionably justified.
