Is your life today what you pictured a year ago?

My daily routine remains unchanged, but unfortunately, the state of the world seems to be deteriorating. Ukraine is still suffering from ongoing conflict, escalating violence in the Middle East originated by Hamas terror attack is causing immense loss of life, and it appears that authoritarian leaders are gaining more power.

What skills or lessons have you learned recently?

I’ve recently come to recognize that, given the inherent limitations of human cognition, it is beyond our capability to fully grasp the true nature of divine power.

What cities do you want to visit?

I would like to visit Jerusalem, as it’s a sacred city for the three major monotheistic religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, each with sites of great significance. Additionally, I am interested in visiting Dharamsala in India, where the Dalai Lama resides.

Tell us one thing you hope people say about you.

I wish people would describe me as a compassionate and knowledgeable human being , earnestly exploring my connection with the Divine and having made a positive impact on numerous lives.

Tell us about your first day at something — school, work, as a parent, etc.

My return to church after fifty years as a committed agnostic marked a significant moment. Following deep reflection, I grew convinced of a Supreme Divinity’s existence. I chose to spend an hour weekly seeking a personal connection with the Divine, attending church services of my parents’ faith. While I participate, I do not fully embrace all the rituals and overlook the limitations of its leadership.

Have you ever performed on stage or given a speech?

Public speaking has been the divine gift bestowed upon me, and I’ve made a lifetime of it through my speaking skills. After a brief stint in politics, where I was known as a high-impact speaker, I dedicated my later years to teaching. I’ve spent many years giving lectures and discussing knowledge with students, and that’s still my focus today. Public speaking has indeed been my life’s work.

What are your favorite physical activities or exercises?

I’ve crafted a balanced health routine that includes physical activities like walking my dog and playing pickleball, which boost my fitness and well-being. Alongside this, I practice daily meditation, enhancing my mental and spiritual health. This combination ensures a holistic approach to my overall health and wellness.

What is something others do that sparks your admiration?

I admire those individuals who devote their existence to seeking knowledge, addressing the profound queries of why we exist on Earth, our connection with a supreme divinity, and the nature of consciousness. Also scientists trying to understand how the universe works

What’s your favorite cartoon?

I consider Peanuts,created by Charles M. Schulz, a philosophical guide for life due to its profound and insightful exploration of human emotions and experiences through the lens of its child characters.

In essence, “Peanuts” serves as a philosophical guide by presenting life’s complexities and challenges in a way that is thoughtful, humorous, and deeply human.

What could you do less of?

I wish I could spend less time pondering challenging philosophical questions that are hard to answer, such as: Is our consciousness separate from our minds? Why do good people experience bad things? Why does the Divine permit evil?
