What alternative career paths have you considered or are interested in?

I am currently in the ‘Sannyasa’ phase, the fourth stage of life in Hinduism. This is the stage of renunciation, where one typically relinquishes material ties to concentrate solely on spiritual pursuits, aiming for moksha (liberation). Thus, I am committed to leading a life full of purpose and meaning.

What food would you say is your specialty?

While I’m no chef with a specialty, my palate has always gravitated towards the rich and diverse flavors of the world. My top picks? The vibrant tastes of Spanish cuisine from Europe, the aromatic spices of Indian dishes from Asia, and the unique culinary treasures of Peruvian fare from the Americas. These cuisines, each with their own story, have consistently captured my heart (and stomach!).

What’s the biggest risk you’d like to take — but haven’t been able to?

I possess a profound spiritual longing to visit the holy city of Jerusalem. However, the prevailing political and military unrest might render such a journey too risky , potentially preventing its realization.

What are you most proud of in your life?

I am very proud that after many years of staunch agnosticism, deeply rooted in my scientific studies, I set aside my pride. I now embrace my connection with the Divine, even if its complex nature eludes my full understanding.

What have you been working on?

In my memoirs, I detail my journey through a tumultuous world, navigating the duality of my origins in Bolivia and my subsequent migration to, and deep affinity for, America and its cherished democratic values.

They don’t know my commitment to understand my relationship with God

Do lazy days make you feel rested or unproductive?

I might just lounge around, read a book, watch TV, or simply enjoy some downtime. They provide me a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life, and time to thank the Divine for all the blessings it has bestowed upon me

When you think of the word “successful,” who’s the first person that comes to mind and why?

Jesus, Buddha, and Muhammad are among the most influential figures in history. Their teachings have endured for millennia, guiding countless individuals in their spiritual journeys and quest to understand the Divine.

What makes a good neighbor?

A good neighbor should be respectful, considerate, and approachable, always willing to lend a helping hand and fostering a sense of community.
